High School DxD is a light novel series by Ichiei Ishibumi. Illustrated by Miyama-Zero, it was published from September 2008 and completed in 25 volumes in 2018.
A ‘school love comedy battle fantasy work’ based on mythology, including demons, fallen angels and angels. The story concept is “Dreams, love, battles and youth!” .
The first anime season “High School DxD” ran from January to March 2012, the second season “High School DxD NEW” from July to September 2013, the third season “High School DxD BorN” from April to June 2015 and the fourth season “High School DxD HERO” from April to July 2018. Synopsis

“High School D✕D” is a book about vampire warfare, but the hero is weak anyway. He rarely wins by sheer guts or gall, and is easily defeated or saved by the heroine. However, every time he loses, the hero bites back his frustration and strives to become stronger.
The battle scenes towards the end of the series give goosebumps, as the protagonist struggles with his own weaknesses and often trains to become stronger, and the battle scenes, which convey the protagonist’s growth and determination for one cool episode, are just so hot.
