“Spirited Away” is a Japanese animated feature film released in 2001. It was written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli. It is a masterpiece of animated feature film and won the Golden Bear at the 52nd Berlin International Film Festival.
The impetus for the production came from Hayao Miyazaki’s desire to please a 10-year-old girl, a personal friend of his.
Through the efforts of Miyazaki’s friend, filmmaker John Lasseter, the film was released in North America and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film at the 75th Academy Awards; in 2017, it was ranked second on the New York Times list of the best foreign language films of the 21st century.

The film depicts the adventures of a 10-year-old girl in another world with originality and overwhelming imagination. Chihiro is a 10-year-old girl who wanders into a mysterious town and finds her parents transformed into pigs. She is puzzled by the gods who live there, but decides to work for the witch Yubaba in order to rescue her parents and return to her own world. Chihiro is assigned to work for the gods, and with the help of a mysterious boy named Haku and her seniors Rin and others, she overcomes various difficulties.

Studio Ghibli’s blockbuster hit, “Spirited Away,” is a film about the world and its unique atmosphere. The overwhelming worldview and unique atmosphere of the film have a mysterious appeal, and the characters in the film are all unique, whether beautiful, cute, funny, or creepy.
The worldview is like a scene seen in a dream. The story structure, the mix of fantasy elements and realism make this animation masterpiece enjoyable in all elements.
