Legend of the Galactic Heroes｜Anime
The Japanese anime “Legend of the Galactic Heroes,” a science fiction work about an epic space war, is based on a novel by Yoshiki Tanaka. The original work was published between 1982 and 1987 and is a 10-volume epic novel. The anime version was directed by Noboru Ishiguro and developed into an OVA series from 1988 to 2000. A remake version was also broadcast in 2018, reevaluating the series for a new generation. As a representative work of Japanese science fiction animation, it has been supported over the years for the grandeur and depth of its story.
Synopsis
Legend of the Galactic Heroes” is set in space and centers on a war between two major powers, the Galactic Empire and the Alliance of Free Planets.
