Towards the end of the millennium, the Vikings were the most powerful people who appeared in all lands and committed all manner of tyranny. Tolfin, the son of a warrior who was proclaimed the strongest of them all, makes the battlefields his home at an early age and sets out for the fantastic continent of Vinland. A true saga of a warrior in a turbulent age.
In the southern Jutland peninsula of Denmark in the new millennium, Torfin, who has lost his purpose in life after the death of his enemy Asherad, is bought as a “slave” by the landowner Ketil, and is engaged in cultivation work on his farm. There, he meets Einar, a young man who has also fallen into slavery, and faces up to the sins he has committed and discovers the meaning of life.

“Vinland Saga” is a story so carefully told that you can also feel the excitement of reading a good book.
The characters are richly drawn and have a depth that cannot be judged simply in terms of good and evil, and the character that we thought was a cruel villain has a complex background and feelings that are told, revealing a gentle side, and the realistic view of life and human nature are delicately portrayed, proving this is a good animation work.
