“Kiki’s Delivery Service” is a 1989 Japanese animated film produced by Studio Ghibli. It was the first feature film directed by Hayao Miyazaki for Studio Ghibli, and was based on an original story by someone else.

Originally intended to be a 70-minute medium-length film, it became over 100 minutes long as production progressed.
The schedule was pushed, the production cost reached 400 million yen, and the film had to sell over 1.6 billion yen at the box office.
