Synopsis

The Magical World is a world where magic exists as a matter of course and everyone can use magic as a matter of course.
In a society controlled by the Department of Magic, to which outstanding wizards belong, those with high magical ability can become the upper echelons of society, while those with low ability are treated as dropouts, and those with magical deficiencies who cannot use magic at all are killed.
The main character, a boy called ‘Mash Burnedead’, who cannot use magic, is secretly brought up by his adoptive father and works hard at muscle training every day.One day, ‘Mash”s existence is discovered by the Magical Police and the officers raid him. However, Mash uses the overwhelming strength and power he has developed over his years of training to turn back the officer, who is a skilled wizard. The cop, who surrenders, instead of letting the Burnedead father and son off the hook, demands that ‘Mash’ enrol in a magic school and earn the title of ‘God Awakener’, the title of outstanding student, and the huge grants and rights that come with it. In any case, ‘Mash’, who cannot have a peaceful life with his family without changing the world, swallows the policeman’s proposal and decides to enter the Easton School, a venerable and prestigious magic school that has produced the elite who play a central role in the magical world.
At the school, where the elite of the magical world are gathered, ‘Mash’, who cannot use magic, aims to become a ‘God Awakener’, using only his superhuman body as a weapon.

MASHLE | Recommendations

While magic is commonplace and everyone around can use magic, the battle scenes are breathtaking, with the protagonist alone unable to use magic, competing only with simple muscle power and even more lightly defeating those with the ability to use magic. Although there are serious scenes, the paradoxical point that the protagonist “cannot use magic but is stronger than those who can” is a true gag. The balance between gag and seriousness is probably the biggest attraction of MASHLE.
Naturally, as the story progresses, there are enemies who use strong magic, but this is of no concern to the main character ‘Mash’.
He confronts even the strongest enemies using only muscle power. The story is comical and enjoyable, with descriptions that even suggest that excessive muscle power may now be a superpower.
