Synopsis

The main character Goro is an obstetrician-gynaecologist in the countryside. Goro is a big fan of Ai Hoshino of the popular idol group B Komachi. One day, a pregnant Ai shows up at the hospital where Goro works. Goro is shocked, but decides to support Ai, who is his absolute “favourite”, and attends the birth.
On the day Ai is due to give birth, Goro is attacked by someone and loses her life. However, when Goro, who was supposed to have been killed, opens his eyes, he is held in the arms of a beautiful woman. Goro is reincarnated as the son of Ai Hoshino, and is embraced by her.
From this point on, the story takes a suspenseful turn, and the film becomes a fascinating and unique animated work that aims to solve the dark and veiled mysteries that swirl around the world of show business.
“OSHI NO KO”, the title of the work, has two meanings: it means “the idol I’m pushing for” and “being reborn as the child of the idol I’m pushing for”.
