“Ranma 1/2” is a Japanese manga work by Rumiko Takahashi, whose best known works are “Urusei Yatsura,” “Mezon Ikkoku,” and “Inuyasha”.
It is the follow-up to “Urusei Yatsura” and was serialized from 1987 to 1996 and published in book form.
As of 2007, the book has been published in 19 language editions in at least 22 countries and regions. It was also the first Japanese manga to be translated into Norwegian and Russian, and has become one of Rumiko Takahashi’s most popular works, with a strong fan base that spans generations.

It was adapted into an animated television series in 1989, followed by a theater version, an original video animation (OVA) version, a live-action television drama with an original story, and a video game adaptation. The voice actors of this work also released many songs on CD under their characters’ names, and in 1990, the work won the 5th Japan Gold Disc Award in the animation category of the Album Awards.

Ranma scene 1

A father, Genma Saotome, and his son, Ranma, were training in kung fu in China when a giant panda and a cute girl appeared?
Ranma has a strange constitution from his rough training in China.
Ranma Saotome, a boy who turns into a girl when he is covered with water, and Akane Tendo, his wife, gradually come to understand each other through their daily battles, and they repeatedly get closer and then move away from each other in this love-comedy anime. This is a romantic comedy anime centered on battles in which the two rivals fight one after the other. They continue to fight against rivals who appear one after another.

The battles are anything goes, incorporating sports such as rhythmic gymnastics and skating, and even cultural genres such as tea ceremony, as martial arts. The story is an amazing brawl action story “Ranma 1/2” (Ranma 1/2) that will make you cry, laugh, and go on a rampage, which unfolds as a single complete episode or as a long story consisting of multiple episodes.

“Ranma 1/2” features a variety of unique characters, and Ranma and Akane are a great pairing. The use of color in the scenes is excellent, and the music is also very catchy and popular. Rumiko Takahashi’s world is in full bloom in all elements.
Rumiko Takahashi is truly a great artist who can combine a simple structure with catchy ideas and draw a fast-paced work.
The fighting scenes and comical parts are well done, but above all, the love story between Ranma and Akane is too cute. Especially in the Romeo and Juliet episode, Akane’s bold attack is the best. I highly recommend this show to those who have not seen it yet.
