Sangmon City, with a population of 280,000, is threatened by invaders from another dimension, the Neighbours. A junior high school student there, ‘Osamu Mikumo’, who has a strong sense of justice, meets a mysterious transfer student, ‘Yuma Kuga’.
One day, a gate to another world opens in this town. The town is enveloped in fear. Weapons on Earth are not effective against the people of the Near Realm, and the destruction of the city seems to be just a matter of time. But then a mysterious group suddenly appeared and repelled the Near Worlders. The Border Defence Organisation (Border), an organisation that had been independently researching the technology of the Near Realms. In a short period of time, they built a huge base and set up a defence system against the Near Realms.
Four years later. High school student Shu Mikumo also belonged to the Border. One day, a new student arrived in Osamu’s class. For some reason, the boy, who introduced himself as Kukan Yushin, was carrying a weapon called a ‘trigger’, which only Border people are allowed to carry. Their story begins to move in this latest SF action film.

“The highlight of WORLD TRIGGER is that the drawings have been getting better and better in the first, second and third seasons, which is fantastic. At the same time, the music and direction are very attractive.
The unique story, setting, development and excitement continue to grow, and the battle scenes are interesting to watch, and the drawings are very beautiful and outstanding. As the story progresses, the sense of anticipation grows.
This work is characterised by its slow and careful animation, and although it may seem slow-tempo, the characters are well-developed and the tactics in the battle scenes are carefully executed, creating a highly immersive work.
