“BLEACH” is a Japanese manga series by Taito Kubo, serialised in a weekly shōnen magazine from 2001 to 2016.
An anime was broadcast on television from 2004.
It is a sword-fighting battle action anime about Ichigo Kurosaki, the protagonist who becomes a substitute grim reaper to exterminate the evil spirit, Hollow, and his friends.

Synopsis

Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student with a strong intuition, meets Rukia Kutsuki, a god of death who has come to exterminate evil spirits.
At first Ichigo does not believe in the existence of grim reaper, but when he is attacked by a Hollow, an evil spirit that eats people’s souls, he is forced to believe in Rukia. Ichigo is enraged by the attack on his family and stands up to the Hollow, but there is no way an ordinary high school student can stand up to the Hollow, and Rukia is seriously injured while defending Ichigo. In a desperate situation, Rukia suggested that Ichigo share some of his grim reaper powers as a last resort, and Ichigo became a grim reaper and defeated the Hollow.
However, Ichigo absorbed more of the Reaper’s power than Rukia expected, and Rukia lost most of her power. Rukia then presses Ichigo to act as acting Reaper until her power is restored. Ichigo refuses at first, but in order to repay the debt he owes for saving his family, he accepts the role of Acting Reaper and gets involved in various disturbances.
