KIRKO, a handyman in Nakano, Tokyo, Japan, receives a mysterious request from a woman named Mikura. Take her to ‘Heaven’. The boy, Maru, was entrusted to him by Mikura, who breathed her last. Maru says that there is a man in Heaven who has the same face as me. They set off on a journey in search of Heaven, knowing nothing more than that. Meanwhile, there are children living in a beautiful world surrounded by walls. The headmaster and kind teachers. There, a rich and peaceful time passed day by day. Heavenly Delusion | Recommendations
This work has two main story arcs: the story in a walled institution and the story of a boy and a girl travelling through an abandoned Japan. Since each of these two stories is interesting in its own right, it is impossible not to find the two stories intersecting and being composed as a single animation very wonderful and interesting.
It also contains a lot of mystery elements, with various foreshadowing. As the mystery unfolds, the question arises, “How will the foreshadowing be recovered?” One of the interesting aspects of the story is that you can watch each scene while considering how the story will unfold. Once you start watching, you will definitely be curious to see how the story continues.
