The “WORKING!” and “SWORD ART ONLINE” series, it is the first film directed by Shingo Adachi, who is known as a character designer and chief animation director for numerous works.
Synopsis
Peaceful days. Behind it all, there is a secret.The secret organisation “DA (Direct Attack)” prevents crimes before they happen.The girls “LYCORIS” are its agents.Thanks to them, the everyday life we take for granted is also possible.Chisato Nishikigi, the elite “LYCORIS”, is the strongest LYCORIS of all time.One of the branches is the coffee shop “LYCORICO”, where the talented, but somewhat mysterious LYCORIS, Takina Inoue, works.
The orders she receives here range from orders for coffee and sweets to taking care of children, shopping, teaching Japanese to foreigners, and many other things that are not typical of “LYCORIS”.
Chisato is a free-spirited optimist and pacifist, while Takina is cool and efficient.

“LYCORIS RECOIL” is directed by Shingo Adachi, and the characters are very attractive. It is also enjoyable from various perspectives, such as the gun action, which is strangely elaborate for an anime, and the changes in the characters. The balance between the cuteness of Takina and Chisato and their hardcore expressions is really good, and the subtlety of director Shingo Adachi’s work makes it a pleasant anime to watch.
